All of us enjoy a hot cup of tea or coffee as the first thing in the morning. It is said that tea or coffee gives energy to start up our day and help us to be active throughout the day. It is difficult to say which one is better in comparison; as both have their own set of benefits. Let us see each of them step by step:
Tea or coffee? Which is better? Which one do you like? Which one is healthier?
Contain Antioxidants: Coffee contains antioxidants like quinines and chlorogenic acid. On the other hand tea has other antioxidants like flavonoids, which is equal to the flavonoids that fruits and veggies have.
Helps in fighting diseases: Tea helps in reducing bad cholesterol levels, prevent blood clotting, reduced risk of Parkinson’s disease and Alzheimer’s disease, fights inflammation, cancers and controls seasonal allergies to great extent.
Coffee helps in fighting disease like colon cancer, Parkinson’s disease, type II diabetes, gout and lowers the risk of liver cancer.
Caffeine content: amount of caffeine content depends on the size of your cup and how the beverage was made and processed. A medium sized cup of coffee will have 85 milligrams of caffeine whereas same size of tea cup will have 40 milligrams of caffeine.
Both are good in their own respective ways. It is difficult to say which one is superior to other. How you prepare your cup is what really matters, as adding cream, milk, sugar, will add on to the calories and instead of doing all goods it will add up your calorie mater. So make it in the best possible way and enjoy each sip of your favorite cup.
Just remember to thank Mother Nature when next time you sip your favorite tea or brewed cup of coffee.
